I interviewed Bane W. Caedus at SLA Media office. The first time I heard from him, was when I discussed with Willow J Eris: they both work for the same company, Scorpion Rebirth (read Willow J Eris Interview). Now, let’s try to discover who is Bane, follow me in the studio …

-“Dear Bane, thank you for your time with us. So of course, my first traditional question is about your first times in SecondLife. Is Bane your first avatar or did you have other lives before that one? Tell us a bit about the discovery of our marvellous virtual world, how was it when you started?”

I first heard of Second Life watching CSI Miami, so, on my old computer I set up an account. My old computer was crappy so I gave it up. When I got my laptop I signed up using a different e-mail with this avatar.

-“I discovered your name and your work when I interviewed your partner in business at Scorpion Rebirth Willow J Eris a few months ago. So tell me what is your role in the company today? What do you enjoy in it?”

I am the general manager as well as a photographer and a model. I get along with some of the people involved with the company.

-“Do you have an active role in other companies or is Scorpion Rebirth your sole ’employer’ if I can say that?”

I am a member of a few other companies but have barely started to work with them. Dog Star Productions just did my initial intro photo shoot. For Dokielicious Doobie, I haven’t done any work yet, but I am gonna be part of a project they are doing, a star wars based comic by what I have been told. Finally, I did two shoots for SL Confidential (Wild Boys and Man of the Month February 2017) and took some photos as well.

-“I browsed a bit Flickr around your name. It seems to me that you are more active as a model than as a photographer. Is it true? What do you enjoy in posing for others?”

I would have to disagree. I take far more pictures than I have modelled in, simply because I don’t get asked to model as much as others do. I do model though in my own pictures but I also do a lot of solo photos of others.

-“Would you please choose for me 3 or 4 pics of you as a model that you particularly like and explain why? You can pick in your Flickr stream or in the streams of other photographers.”

I like this one which was part of a set that was featured on the sexiest blog.

This one because I admired Ali Lancrae‘s work from day one and been wanting a chance to model for her.

This one for the same reason than the previous picture: I always wanted to pose for Laura Demonista.

This one is a capture from a video “Motel Peeper” by Miss Emily’s Studio. I had a leading role in this one.

-“Is Flickr the unique place where we can see you and your work or do you use other platforms?”

Yes Flickr is the only place I post my work on.

-“So as you said, you played in Motel Peeper. Did you have any other roles?”

Yes I have played in nine movies in total, including Motel Peeper. I have been an extra in all of them but three (Motel Peeper and the two episodes of the “Her Revenge” series by Carly Morrisey):

-“I know from Willow that Scorpion Rebirth has started to produce movies. They are still a bit amateur compared to what HBIC or Rude Runner Studios can produce, but I know it is a difficult thing. Is it something your studio plan to develop or are you going to focus on photography only?”

My computer isn’t good enough for me to do video.

-“What are your projects Bane? Anything you would accept to share with us and our readers?”

I have a few ideas but nothing solid at this time to share.

-“All right! Finally one last question: would you share with us a little secret about yourself … it can be anything but it has to be something you rarely told.”

I am very shy in real life the only difference between my real life and my second life characters.

Thank you Bane, this interview is now over, it was a pleasure to have you in our offices.

Thanks Cathy!
