Argo Domenici: the bisexual porn photographer

Chase Stone is relatively young in SecondLife and in the porn business. He is nowadays a skilled photographer and within a short time frame has worked with most of the big names in the industry, as a photographer and as a model. I will let him speak for himself but it has been a great pleasure to interview him.

-“Thank you for taking the time and having me here…. So where are we Chase. Is it your home, your workplace?”

Thank you for the interview, Cathy. Yes this is my private residence and where I do many of my shoots so far. I keep it private but for those I invite to be here.

-“So Chase tell me a bit more about your presence in SecondLife … how did this adventure start? How did it evolve to the Chase we know today”

I really came on SL on a whim, I don’t even remember how I found out about it. I then did some reading of google articles about developing an avatar and then I just started exploring. I randomly met a few people who introduced me to photography and I got the bug to start taking pictures. I was asked to pose for a few adult pictures and then decided it was fun and enjoyed the results, so I decided to start taking my own and asking some of the well known people in the SL Porn biz to pose for or with me.

-“Are you a photographer in real life as well? Or do you enjoy this only in SecondLife?”

Oh no, this is definitely a SL hobby only, though it dominates my time when I’m on SL

-“So you are now a skilled porn photographer … how would you describe your journey from the beginnings to all the technics you know now? Did you have some key hints or helps that helped you progress? Are you a self made man on the contrary?”

I think a lot of it was trial and error. I’m like a sponge so when I’m taking pics with someone, especially by asking some of the more experienced models who usually do their own photography too, they are a collaborative effect that you gain bits of knowledge each time you shoot with someone. As for as things that helped me, learning about different windlights and the use of lumipro and anypose has made taking photographs so much better; learning the graphics settings, etc. all help to make great photos.

-“Now I would like you to choose a few pictures from your stream, your favourites, and tell me why you like them in particular … difficult exercise I know.”

In terms of this photo, sometimes you take photos that capture a certain feeling at the moment. I was dealing with some real life work issues, and I felt like the weight of the world was on me for a particular deadline, so I just went outside on the rocks, looked up in the sky and found the right light to capture the moment. I suppose many of the pics I take which are not necessarily erotic in nature can capture a particular mood at the particular moment.

There are many daily themes for SL porn, one being fellatio friday. Many people tend to fit their daily pics into the particular themed day. I had done a few with Joreigh Jewell and this one, I focused more on her; to me, it seems in SL erotic shots that the female tends to be the focus, as well she should hehe. I like this one for the particular pose and feeling it invokes along with the lighting showing a more sexy evening setting in front of the waterfall here in my house.

One pictures have a bit of a story behind them or what I would consider a labour of “love” so to speak. Tegan Malone asked me to model for a particular fashion item. We then said, hey, lets make a pic together, so we came up with this pose. As with many shoots, people’s computers don’t always act nice and between the two of us, we ended up crashing multiple times and it took us daysto get this shot done with our schedules and the crashes. It turned out well, a very erotic pose I think.

Sometimes as I said, you are going for a theme day, this one was for Topless Tuesday. I had worked with Athena before, and I asked her to do this shot. Athena is one of those photographers that is very meticulous and knows a ton. Every time I shoot with her, I end up learning more and more. So I captured her beauty in this pic, but frankly, this was more of a learning experience than anything else as I mentioned earlier.

This one gets me laughing. I literally wanted to put up a Christmas themed pic that was a bit cheeky (pardon the pun) and this pic got such a great response. Sometimes for me, pics are just mostly about thinking of a fun idea and putting it into motion.

So hopefully that gives you a good idea of the different kinds of pics I have been taking on my own. Certainly, I am asked to pose with other photographers, lately Tourdiddy, Kat Gould, and Ted Dosei have asked and they are all great photographers as well.

-“That’s indeed helping me to understand the way you work and this is an excellent transition for my next question …. you are a talented photographer as we just have seen it, but you are also a successful model. You have posed for many known photographers. What is it you like being a model? Do you feel you are more a model or a photographer at the end of the day?”

You know, it’s funny because I think all of us who do pictures feel not only are we models but photographers as well. The great thing about being a model is (1) you typically don’t have to come up with the idea for the pose and (2) you get to sit back and have the photographer pose you or fix lighting. That’s the benefit. But as for others, we all tend to help each other out, we all tend to scratch each others backs meaning you pose for me, I pose for you, etc. It works out well. I have found that the people in this biz for the most part are sooooo accommodating and friendly.

-“Very interesting point of view. Do you have a few favourite pics of you taken by others? Would you explain why?”

My good friend, Kristi Stevenson, who got me into photography did this shoot of me back before a lot of my AV changes, so it is nostalgic for me. She is an amazing photographer in her own right, and she does more landscapes but we said let’s do a fun shoot.

Topaz Lemondrop is a great friend and the person who got me into taking erotic photos, so I would be remiss if I didn’t mention her as a huge influence.

Finally, Ted Dosei I think is a HUGELY creative photographer who makes his own poses. I think he has great vision.

Certainly I have been in more, and I don’t want to slight anyone, such as people like Athena Mariposa, Elena Micheals (the former Rachel Swallows), or Heather Ashford or Isa Cheviot, who are all influences along with Ali Lancrae who I bug all the time about the industry.

-“You have been involved a lot in the photography, but, have you ever tried to be an actor in videos? Or to produce your own films?”

As for films, I haven’t thought of going that far yet in terms of producing them. I did have a small part, my first part, in a film by Isa Cheviot with Heather Ashford, I believe the movie was entitled…Bitch Slapped. I am not sure if I will be doing more films, but I am certainly open to it. I think it would be fun to add that to the things I do.

-“What are your projects now Chase? What is it you would like to achieve, short term and long term?”

For right now, my focus is to continue to grow the photography, learn about different things in terms of lighting, posing, editing, etc. I find that the more models and photographers I work with, the more I tend to keep learning, even if it is small titbit. When you add up all that you learn, you can really produce great pictures that everyone tend to enjoy. My belief is there is so much talent,so many ideas, its hard to not be excited about working with someone and really collaborating on a great set of shots. As for future projects, I suppose that more depends on what ideas are brought to me in terms of films, modelling, etc.

-“OK my last question … Would you dare to tell me a little secret about you, something you never dared to tell anybody?”

Well, I know that I am fairly new to SL in terms of age, not quite a year yet, but I was always asked if I was an alt, or someone who had been away for a while because of my AV’s appearance vs. my age. I kinda did research when I ended up signing on to SL for the first time that was a few articles on Google about how to make a decent AV since I had zero clue what I was going the first few days. Guess it pays to do a little reading when you join to “fit in”

-“I think this interview is done Chase, thank for your time and patience.”

Thank you Cathy

And another interview is over. I had a great time really, Chase is interesting and easy-going. I highly encourage you to visit his stream and to give him feedback on his work. I think I have understood this is his fuel to move on and make progress, so feel free. And … well … I had the privilege to pose with him, so stay tuned I might appear on this stream soon.

Kisses,
Cathy
